Doing our Part During a Pandemic
Amid the crisis, the weeks are flying by. Students have little to no clarity about their education, parents are working from their kitchen tables and teachers are still searching for equitable ways to implement distance learning.
As with most businesses during this time, it is difficult to develop and implement considering we are not just working from home—we are working in the middle of a crisis. Coming together, my team and I took a step back to consider what we, as a small business, can be doing to support our community of students, parents, and teachers. We are proud and excited to highlight some of the actions we have taken to make a difference, no matter how small, in this time of need.
We recently conducted surveys featuring 1,100 students and Admissions Administrators about the future of higher education. You can read more about how the findings impact higher education in Vox or Business Insider.
Cirkled In is now offering a $250 COVID-19 Relief Grant for students twice monthly. All they have to do is create and complete a Cirkled In profile.
There is a lot of information flying around—it can be difficult to cut through the noise. We have developed a COVID-19 information page on our website. From resources to blogs to the information YOU need for your student or child, Cirkled In curated the information in one easy-to-find space.
Most importantly, we wanted to directly help students, parents, and educators. That is why during the pandemic, we are offering our online digital platform, including school’s private network for educators and schools, for FREE. Keeping track of distance learning is not easy so that is why we are encouraging students to input their academic achievements, from now and from in-class learning, into a safe portal that they can access at a click of a button. Furthermore, high school students can use the platform to apply for our scholarship (no GPA requirements or long essay!) and find the best fit colleges for them.
The world has not stopped and neither has the need for students to stay on track with their learning.
Wishing everyone safety and good health,
Reetu Gupta, Cirkled In CEO
