Jacob Warner - $2,500 "No-Sweat” Scholarship Winner
Cirkled In is excited to announce our June 2023 “No-Sweat” $2,500 Scholarship Award winner, Jacob Warner. Attending Alabama’s first virtual high school -Baldwin County Virtual School, Jacob has harnessed his strong work ethic and thirst for knowledge, thriving in independent and co-curricular learning environments. Jacob is a member of many school academic teams focused on learning math and languages. Jacob balances academics with sports involvement, part-time work, and volunteering, making him a well-rounded and dedicated scholar. Congrats to Jacob!
Homeschooled by his mother from 1st to 6th grade while living in Florida, Jacob thrived on challenging assignments and the freedom to learn independently and creatively and learn at his own pace.
This personalized approach allowed Jacob to dive deep into his assignments, grasp concepts thoroughly, and even embark on experiential academic endeavors, developing a strong work ethic and a thirst for knowledge. Both are vital ingredients for achieving success that he took with him into middle and high school.

As Jacob’s family moved to Alabama, he joined the virtual schooling system in Baldwin County, which is the state’s first virtual school. Engaging in clubs like the Student Lighthouse Team and the School Trivia Team enriched his learning experiences and broadened his horizons.
He also swims with his high school swim team. Jacob works part-time at his area Publix store, and volunteers in his community to promote literacy. These experiences have taught Jacob the importance of time management and balancing responsibilities.

Jacob also engages in a lot of extracurricular learning. He is an avid reader, is learning Russian and Polish online, and enjoys working through math and puzzle books. In his spare time he cooks, reads Marvel comics, and immerses himself in music to unwind.

Jacob was introduced to Cirkled In through his school counselor. Jacob appreciates Cirkled In as a platform to keep track of his activities, showcase achievements and streamline the college application process.
