Kaushik Srikrishnan - December 2020 "No Sweat" Scholarship Winner
Whew, 2020 was a difficult year! But despite the challenges it presented, sophomore Kaushik Srikrishnan from Chapel Hill, North Carolina continued to serve his community and pursue academic challenges that moved him closer to his future goals. That’s why we’re elated to announce Kaushik as our December 2020 “No Sweat” Scholarship Winner!
Born and raised in Southern India, Kaushik moved to the United States at age nine. With the support and hard work of his parents, he was able to explore his passions and become the student he is today. According to his school counselor at Chapel Hill High School, not only is he in Advanced Placement (AP) classes, but he is also enrolled in honors courses that are above his grade level.
The work doesn’t stop inside of the classroom. Kaushik is an avid science Olympiad enthusiast, receiving many laurels from participating in regional engineering competitions. Hands-on building and problem solving quickly became his passion一sparking his interest in Biomedical Engineering.

Kaushik has a broad range of interests. Along with pursuing Biomedical Engineering, he is an active volunteer at his local YMCA, President of his school’s Origami Club, and lover of performing arts. He’s even choreographed dances and performed at many cultural events.
Kaushik uses his Cirkled In portfolio to keep track of his activities and to search for colleges that fit his needs. Through exploring, he hopes to pursue Biomedical Engineering at UNC, NC State, or Duke!
